Production process improvement manager

Location: Deltamed, Gilău, Cluj County

Purpose of the Position

Ensure full documentation of production processes and technologies, and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. Hold direct responsibility for optimizing, organizing, and, when necessary, developing the internal technical training system for colleagues (primarily direct production personnel).

Main responsibilities

  • • Gain detailed understanding of all production processes through on-site analysis and active collaboration with involved teams;
  • • Fully and accurately document all processes and technologies used in the production flow, from material reception to final product delivery, with a focus on actual production stages, in collaboration with all relevant departments (procurement, warehouse, quality, planning, project management, design, etc.) to ensure accuracy and consistency of information;
  • • Audit each role within the production department to identify and document the technical and operational competencies required for specific activities;
  • • Develop customized technical training curricula based on the requirements of each production role and personnel experience level;
  • • Organize and deliver internal technical training sessions tailored to all levels involved in production (operators, technicians, coordinators) to develop professional skills and ensure standardization of knowledge and work practices;
  • • Develop and implement process improvement strategies using tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Gemba Walks, etc.;
  • • Identify and analyze performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor implemented improvements and propose new actions;
  • • Collaborate with production, design, production preparation, project management, and quality departments to optimize technological workflows;
  • • Prepare regular reports on the progress of improvement initiatives.

Candidate profile

  • Education: University degree in a technical field (preferably industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or related fields);
  • Experience: Solid background with at least 15 years in industrial production or process engineering, including a minimum of 5 years of direct involvement in practical application of continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar), with demonstrable results in process optimization and operational efficiency;
  • Certifications: Lean and/or Six Sigma certifications (Green Belt or equivalent) – a significant advantage;
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • • Advanced use of process analysis tools: Value Stream Mapping, 5S, DMAIC, root cause analysis, visual control methods, etc.;
    • • Data analysis and interpretation of performance indicators such as Takt Time, Lead Time, FPY (e.g., post-training assessments), etc.;
    • • Experience in clear and coherent documentation of processes for training and compliance purposes;
    • • Excellent communication skills, informal leadership, and training abilities for multidisciplinary teams;
    • • Proactive attitude, systemic thinking, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;

• Autonomy in organizing work activities and focus on measurable results.
