Procurement Engineer

Job Purpose:

The Procurement Engineer is responsible for identifying, evaluating and purchasing the materials, equipment and technical components required for the company’s projects – production of ambulances and special intervention vehicles, ensuring that they comply with the technical specifications, delivery deadlines and allocated budgets. Collaborates closely with technical departments to support the efficient implementation of procurement activities.

Main responsibilities:

  • • Identifies procurement needs in collaboration with technical departments (e.g. project management, design, technical sales, production);
  • • Checks the technical specifications of received orders and reports any discrepancies before releasing orders;
  • • Uses the ERP system (AsisRIA) daily to launch, track and update orders/statuses;
  • • Permanently updates the product nomenclature in ERP, including photos, delivery deadlines and other necessary information;
  • • Ensures the supply of raw materials, consumables and equipment according to standards and technical requirements;
  • • Organizes intra-community transport of goods, taking into account the load level, availability and profitability, within the available budget;
  • • Monitors the status of orders and deliveries, promptly and in writing informs the direct superior and the project manager about any gaps and proposes solutions to remedy them;
  • • Conducts market research to identify new or alternative suppliers;
  • • Evaluates and selects suppliers based on quality, price and reliability criteria;
  • • Negotiates contracts and commercial conditions in collaboration with the legal department and the hierarchical superior;
  • • Analyzes the performance of suppliers (quality, costs, delivery, services) and proposes optimization measures;
  • • Identifies and proposes measures to eliminate losses and variations in the supply chain;
  • • Checks with colleagues in the warehouse the goods reception processes; upon identification of any quantitative or qualitative non-conformities, notify the project manager and the supplier;
  • • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize stocks and reduce costs, maintaining quality standards.

Candidate profile

  • • Completed technical higher education (preferably in fields such as electrical, mechanical, mechatronics or similar);
  • Relevant experience in a similar role (technical or industrial procurement) – min. 3 years, preferably in a production environment;
  • Good knowledge of technical specifications, industrial components and equipment;
  • • Knowledge and experience in working with an ERP system (ideal: AsisRIA);
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel;
  • • Advanced communication, organizational and teamwork skills; Solid negotiation, analysis and planning skills; Attention to detail, orientation towards meeting deadlines and respecting internal procedures; Psychological flexibility and tact in managing changes that may occur in the activity.
  • • English: at least intermediate level (written and spoken);
